Ladies Only South Carolina CWP (Concealed Weapons Permit) Class

The SC CWP Class is a SLED approved curriculum and is taught Tina Perrone, the owner of  TMP Firearms Training and Self Defense. This is a fast-paced class full of vital information and covers a multitude of subjects needed to obtain a SC CWP (Concealed/Open Carry Weapon Permit).

The curriculum will cover the following topics:

• Safety
• Storage and Locking Devices
• Nomenclature of a Revolver
• Nomenclature of a Semi-automatic Pistol
• Semi-Automatic Pistol Action Types
• Cycle of Operation
• Ammunition And Malfunctions
• Care and Maintenance of Firearms
• Firearm Manipulation
• Shooting Fundamentals
• Range Terminology
• Handgun Holsters and Retention
• South Carolina Handgun Laws and Use of Force

The student is mandated by SLED to complete a 50-question exam and a 25-round live fire proficiency test.

The student must successfully pass both sections of the exam with a minimum standard of 70 percent in order to be eligible to apply for a Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP).

Classroom Instruction is about 6 hours in duration and includes the live fire proficiency test. The shooting portion will take place at a local indoor shooting range and is included in the price of the class. Range Time varies depending on the students’ shooting skill.

***Please note: If the student has no experience with firearms, it is highly recommend that they take the Basic Handgun Orientation Class first to learn about firearms and how to shoot a firearm.

Students will need the following items:

• Firearm and Magazines
• 25 rounds of Ammunition
• Hearing and Eye Protection
• Proper carry method to Classroom/Range
• Hydration and lunch

TMP Firearms, LLC will provide the following:

• CWP application and Checklist
• Waiver of liability form
• Classroom/bathrooms
• Range fee

Gun Rentals are available for an additional fee of $20.00.  Ammuntion is not included.
